FINISH YOUR RACE / Your Life's Journey

Don Armstrong - Cancer Survivor - Motivational Speaker FINISH YOUR RACE / Your Life’s Journey
You may be asking, so what is “Finish Your Race”?  Great question! From my journey’s perspective here’s my answer:

“Finish Your Race is about inspiring, motivating, and empowering YOU,
To Finish Your Race in Life
With courage, focus and a positive Spirit
Knowing it’s never too late to make a difference in yourself and in others.”

What about your personal journey, call it a race?  If you’ve considered it you have a reason, a why in your life that inspires, motivates, empowers you and results in a passion to get up every morning and take action in the day ahead.  So what’s your race?
Empowering your own life to make a difference in yourself and in others may sound like quite a challenge.  For me, it’s all about my race since September 2005.
I have been on an extraordinary, inspiring journey the past seven and half years.  During this time there has been tremendous change and transformation in me as God continues to shape and mold me as a person.
My race began with the surprising diaganosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on September 14, 2005.  In other words, I was told I had the “C” word, Cancer.  I was shocked, overwhelmed and frightened with this reality.
One of my first thoughts was, “How could this be possible?”.  I was young and healthy, but more importantly for me I was one of those guys that said, “It couldn’t happen to me.”  But there I was facing this challenge, this reality, my race squarely in front of me.
My journey with cancer has changed almost everything about me for the better.  I would not wish my cancer on anyone, however, my hope is that you might be motivated by what I learned on my journey.
Although, this is only my first blog, “of many more to follow”, entitled “Finish Your Race” my desire is that you will join me on future blogs as I share my race with you and in the process…

“Inspire, motivate, and empower YOU
To Finish Your Race in Life
With courage, focus and a positive Spirit
Knowing it’s never too late to make a difference in yourself and in others.”

Continuing our race together,
